Terrific food marred by imperfect, even hostile service. I eat at Albasha on every trip to Baton Rouge and the food remains the same (excellent) but the service gets worse each time. If bad service upsets you, you probably shouldn't eat at Albasha because it will ruin what should be a great meal. I have eaten at two locations and had the same bad service - the only cause can be management. I'll still rank it four stars because of the food but I wish the management would wake up and manage.

Always great food and atmosphere. Waitress was attentive but didn't rush our business lunch. Great place. Would highly recommend.

food was ok. service adequate but not very informative. my girlfriend is vegetarian and there were lots of veggie options so we would probably go there again but how can they call themselves a greek restaurant when not a single employee, including the bartender, had a clue what ouzo was. by god it is the national drink of greece. OPAH damnit OPAHHHHHHHH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'Zounds! Albasha is just insane is the best possible way. I stopped in for lunch recently and was pretty blown away by the quality, portion size (enough left overs for two lunches) and prices. Definitely adding this to my lunchtime (and casual dinner) rotation when I'm in the Red Stick. I ordered thinking that the portions had to be smallish, considering the low prices. When the food was brought out, uh there was enough food for four people. *Now leave me to my banquet!* Normally big portions for low prices indicate that the food is not that great, so what a surprise it was to find that the falafel is among the best I've ever had. It's going to ruin me for falafel in these types of causal Middle Eastern joints forever. The flavor + consistency are on point and it's neither greasy nor dry. And then there's the perfect hummus. Perfect. Do you know what that means? Not. Like. Sabra. (aka the worst hummus on the market). Rich, creamy, not too garlicky, plenty of tahini. Perfect. Expect a giant basket of warm pita bread that is similarly impossible to finish. I wrapped up one of the leftover pieces for my platter of leftovers and still felt that a pond of ducks could benefit from what was left in the basket! I also ordered a spinach salad minus the cheese and it, too is enormous and full of fresher than fresh baby spinach leaves. It might have had a tad too much dressing (mainly olive oil), so next time I'll ask for it on the side. This salad is great to share by the way. They have a variety of lunch specials so that you can get even more of a dealio. It's a causal spot, but it's nice inside, too. Service is fast and friendly. I can't think of a single way this place could be better other than being located right down the block from my house!

Albasha, is known to carry themsleves in a quality and collective fashion for Greek and Lebansese foods some time now... that is why customers do not hassistate to continue their loyalty and support. I would have to agree with the majority . That is the owner, and his management team really seem to have it together. Offering some of the finest mediterianen food options availabe in the city of Baton Rouge. Friendly and affective staff members which translate over to every waiter and food server !! Also, late night hours with above average good food options without sacrificing geniune quality... balanced plates at very resonable prices... what more could be asked for. Jusrt perhaps, a little more drink options - in the imported wine area etc. Other than that - A++ ! For now _ keep up the good work. Thank you for the sincere hospitality. ** Yes, I would recommend this place to a traveler. Enjoy !!

Absolutely the best Greek food in town! The atmosphere is warm and intimate. The staff bends over to help you. Our favorite is the combination plate. The portions are so big it's great to split. Baba Ghanouj is addictive et good. Can't get enough of this place.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. You can find cheaper Greek and Lebanese food at other placers but Albasha is worth the price. Love their Chicken Schwarma. Also make sure to try their meat stuffed grape leaves. Best app in the restaurant IMO.

I'm torn between three and four so I rounded up. The staff was very stiff. Not that it was bad just no emotions or suggestions or passion. The fried cheese rocked my world. I also went with the shwarma salad which was huge and delicious. I didn't get any hummus but everyone else seemed to be enjoying it. The lunch clientele was very professional looking. I would definitely recommend this place for lunch. Hey servers....smile....

I wasn't a fan of this restaurant they didn't have homemade pita chips they had subpar pita bread. Their hummus wasn't good I would rather buy sabra hummus from the grocery store. Also I love babagonoush and it had soooo much olive oil it was the worst I've ever had. My boyfriend loves the chicken swama here but he will just have to order his own to go when he wants it and I'll eat my store bought hummus :)

Walked in yesterday with my wife and was about to be seated when she found a live German Cockroach on her chair before she sat down. The waiter offered us another table but didn't seem as surprised as I expected. We won't be back.

Consistency. No matter where in the state I am working, Albasha is a favorite of mine. I've probably ate at every location in the state multiple times at this point. It may not be my favorite Greek & Lebanese Restaurant in Baton Rouge, but it's good at what it does. The red fish plate is a favorite of mine, if you are looking to escape the shawarma.

This is a wonderful Mediterranean cuisine restaurant to try. The restaurant has expanded and there is a location in Metairie now along with one other in Baton Rouge. The meals here are always good. Slightly higher in price but I feel comfortable with the prices. Try the meat moussaka plate, it is one of my favorite dishes here!

I know not much about this food category, but I know I love Albasha. At least the dish I always get which is not very adventurous but I cant bring myself to order anything else b/c I would miss it too much. I go for the "combo" gyro/chicken plate. I love the rice, the pita, the hummus, the salad.... and sometimes I even eat some of the meat ! They are very consistent and whether we eat in or pick up to go, we are not disappointed. They are always so welcoming and nice and they don't mind my 4 year old playing in the fountain in the restaurant...... so give this place a try. And I'll let you know if I ever try another dish on the menu, but it's unlikely.

This is, by far the best Albasha's in Baton Rouge. We love it! The fried cheese is our favorite appetizer, and we love the meza when we come for dinner. Of all of the Albasha's in Baton Rouge, this one is consistently delicious.

Consistently good food. Albasha's is more Lebanese than Greek but very good all the same. I have been eating at Albasha for over 20 years and I have to say they are one of the most consistent restaurants around. They are all located in strip malls and pretty consistent with their casual décor at all of the locations. The shrimp spinach salad and shrimp kabobs are amazing and satisfies the Cajun in me every time. The eggplant mousaka and baba ganoush have always been favorites as well as the Lamb shank which literally melts in your mouth. Cabbage rolls and grape leaves are moist and seasoned with just the right amount of seasoning. The Albasha platter is the perfect size for two people and offers a varied choice of sides. The mezza for two will feed my family of 4 and we are all very satisfied with our options and substitutions can be made to any of the menu items. They also offer vegetarian platter with lots of veggie options so you can create your own plate. The Bluebonnet location has the best service and wait staff of all that I have visited and I like the atmosphere a bit more here than the others as well. Lunch time can be pretty crowded around noon so I would suggest getting there a bit early.

I thought I already wrote a review for Albasha, but Yelp.com tells me no. Good thing I check in everywhere so it will remind me of where I've been so i remember to leave reviews. :) This is my absolute favorite Greek & Lebanese spot in BR. Their gyro meat is always juicy and plentiful. Lots of dressing on the salad, coupled with the flavorful meat ensures that my breath will keep me from getting a date for the rest of the day (and maybe the next). The gyro plate comes with meat, pilaf, hummus, salad and pita. I clean my plate every time. While pilaf isn't usually meant to be much more than a filler, i find theirs to be quite good. The hummus is very creamy. Not grainy like some other places. As I mentioned above, the salad dressing is strong, but that's my pleasure. The portions here are huge. The schwarma salad will feed 2. I've also had the fish special and it was quite tasty. I visit a lot of G/L spots around town b/c I'm a fan of the food genre. I'm not saying that the others are bad...I'm saying Albasha on Bluebonnet is the best.

I have loved Albashas for years. I always get take out chicken Shwarma salad, and it doesn't disappoint. The hummus is very good too. Staff is friendly, and it only takes 10-15 minutes to get the order ready after I call.

We travel a lot and now we live in another state. This is one of the three places we always have to go to while we are in Baton Rouge.

This place has great service and great food. Vegetarian options aplenty. The meat moussaka is great as well as the vegetarian plate. Be sure to get the Lebanese Ice Tea and Baklava for dessert.
